Our Upcycling Studio is where used clothes get transformed into fresh, useful creations. Consider it a haven for exquisite wool sweaters or jeans with a few moth holes. Instead of wasting these gems, we roll up our sleeves and get to work, creating tote bags, bucket hats, and much more.

But we cannot do it alone. We need enthusiastic sewing pro people like you to help us out and be a part of something truly extraordinary. We're currently seeking two types of upcycling volunteers who share our passion for creativity and environmental stewardship. Whether you're an avid sewing enthusiast or a master of the art of repair, there's a role for you in our Upcycling Studio. Together, we can turn discarded garments into new treasures and make a real difference in our community.
1. Production Sewing Volunteering
Are you an expert with a sewing machine? Do you like the excitement of bringing a design to life? Then our production sewing team needs you! From denim bags and caps to kitchen cloths and hair scrunchies, our production sewing volunteers help us make our creative dreams a reality. And with exciting new designs on the way, there has never been a better opportunity to join the team.
2. Mending and Darning Volunteering
However, sewing is not the sole way to make a difference. We also need mending and darning volunteers, who are already skilled in hand mending. If you can navigate an invisible hem or darn a sock like a pro, we want to hear from you. Our menders perform their magic to give clothing a second (or third!) chance, making sure that nothing goes to waste.
